New Zealand Earthquake
This is a sad day for New Zealand, the city of Christchurch was hit by a 6.3 magnitude earthquake at around 6:51 PM ET, monday (12:51 PM local time, tuesday) and followed by multiple aftershocks, according to the New Zealand Herald webpage.
The death toll according to the same webpage currently sits at 32 and property damage is extensive in the area.
If you don't know the geography of the country, New Zealand is made up of 2 big islands and several smaller ones.
The largest city is Auckland which is located on the North Island, Christchurch is the 2nd largest city and located on the South Island.
